DBC for Tesla? was created by pan
Cool tool. Thanks!

I'm trying to use it with my Model S. I have found a tesla_can.dbc here:

github.com/commaai/opendbc

And I also scrounged a BMS.dbc from somewhere on the net.

But I can't get SavvyCan to understand the tesla_can.dbc. Is there a formatting problem? (My platform is a Mac.) When I try to load the DBC, the message at the bottom of the main screen still says "No DBC Database loaded yet". And I can't double-click to edit it, either - it shows just the default node, Vector_XXX with nothing under it.

Suggestions welcome, or pointers to other Tesla-compatible DBCs.

Thanks.

Sorry, I had forgotten I configured a forum on here.... Whoops... Anyway, yes, that does happen. I've fixed it on github but no fixed version has been released as a binary.

The problem is that the line that defines the node names is on multiple lines. Normally people don't do that.

Take these lines:

BU_:
NEO
MCU
GTW
EPAS
DI
ESP
SBW
STW

And put it all on the same line with a space in between.

BU_: NEO MCU GTW EPAS DI ESP SBW STW

If you edit tesla_can.dbc that way it'll load.
