Hi ,
I'm very much a newbie, so lease be gentle.
I have an arduino due with a can shield v1.2. can I use this with savvycan and what alterations
will I have to make to the code to get it to work ?

I believe it will work but I don't know for sure what hardware you have exactly. Can you provide a URL for the CAN shield you are using? The GVRET sketch should work but there might be some pin modifications to do. The mods would likely be minor.

It works with the arduino example " can bus receive", but I can't get it to work with GVRET - i could well be
getting something wrong .If you've any suggestions I'd be grateful to hear them.

What Arduino are you using?
GVRET is made for the ARM based Due platform.


Sorry missed the above posts.

GVRET uses the on-board CAN transceiver correct?
The shield you are using is running CAN through the MCP2515 which is using a different CAN library and pinout.

You wan to find a MCP2551 breakout and wire it to the Due CAN pins.
You might be able to do it through the shield you already have.
